The Amber Herringbone Basket is made from a mosaic of rectangular strips of glass that are arranged in a herringbone weave pattern. This color family is highly reactive to heat, meaning that the metals that make up the colors react with each other to create new colors. These colors also appear different in transmissive versus reflective light. In realistic room lighting situations, these reactive colors show an infinite variation in the way the colors appear in this piece.
